Founded in 2003 in Northern Virginia, Phoenix Steel Erectors has grown to be a leader in the steel erection industry. What separates PSE from our competition is our commitment to being the premier steel erector in the Mid-Atlantic region. Although we are capable of erecting any structure, we specialize in unusual and complex projects. Every project receives the same level of attention regardless of it’s size. Paul Kollman

Principal

Paul Joined Phoenix Steel in February 2013. Mr. Kollman brings over twenty (20) years management experience working for large steel erectors who focus on high profile projects. In addition to sales and business development responsibility, Mr. Kollman handles most of the finance and contract administration work for Phoenix Steel.

Tony Adams

Principal

Tony has been with Phoenix Steel since their founding in 2003. Mr. Adams started in the field as a foremen, served as our operations manager, and is currently responsible for all field operations. His hard work and dedication to the company have helped PSE grow, improve quality, and efficiency.

Kendall Ray

Director Pre-Construction

Kendall joined Phoenix Steel in September 2017. Mr. Ray has over twenty-five (25) years of experience in the structural steel industry working for fabricators serving the Mid-Atlantic States. He will be responsible for front end project coordination with customers in addition to sales and estimating responsibilities.

Terri Gaither

Office Manager

Terri joined Phoenix Steel in September 2010. Mrs. Gaither brings a wealth of experience managing offices in the construction industry. She is responsible for contract billings, risk management/insurance, certified payroll compliance, human resources, 401K plan management, and finance. Terri also assists Mr. Kollman in contract administration.

Jon Gardenhour

Project Manager

Jon joined Phoenix Steel in February of 2021. Mr. Gardenhour’s background consist of field and management experience for both residential and commercial projects. Prior to joining Phoenix, he worked as a superintendent for both small and mid- size general contractors. He will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and managing the day-to-day operations for projects located in both Maryland and D.C.

Keagan McGinnis

Project Manager

Keagan joined Phoenix Steel in January 2024. He is a recent graduate of GW University with degrees in business and a masters in project management. After completion of our training program, Keagan will be responsible for managing projects in Virginia, MD, and DC.

Mark Davidson

Safety Manager

Mark joined Phoenix Steel in March 2021 and will be our first full-time safety manager. In addition to holding OSHA 30, first-aid/CPR, and safety officer certifications he has a background in law enforcement. Mark oversees safety in field, conducts training on the job and at our headquarters, performs safety audits, administers our light duty program, oversees claims, and has other safety related responsibilities.

Katie Sirstins

Accounting Manager

Katie joined Phoenix Steel in September of 2018. She has a background in data analysis and is responsible for book keeping and payroll functions. She also assists in purchasing, IT administration, and drawing inventory, as well as assisting operations in project management and customer relations.

Aly joined Phoenix Steel in August of 2019. She has a background in customer service, administrative work, and she is fluent in both English and Spanish. She assists all members of the Phoenix team on a daily basis and acts as a field liaison to our non-English speaking employees.
